Nolan’s Top Gun Charters has been providing successful sport fishing excursions from the harbor of Port Washington for 17 years. Some of the finest salmon and trout fishing is available just outside the breakwaters of this picturesque harbor. The Lake Michigan fishing experience can be enjoyed by everyone! It’s a great way to spend a day entertaining business associates, relaxing with friends, or treating your family to something special.
Captain Nolan strives to stand out from the rest and to give you the best fishing outing of your lifetime. He is a full-time Captain, meaning he’s on the water 300 days a year. You will always be in pursuit of the hottest bite and will try to put as many fish in the boat as possible! Captain Nolan will make your trip enjoyable, safe, and successful!
You will be cruising Lake Michigan on a 38’ Bertram Sportfishing boat. This type of boat was made for charter fishing and will keep you comfortable and safe in whatever sea condition Lake Michigan offers! Once aboard, you will first notice the large back deck, over 14 feet wide, capable of trolling 20 fishing rods with ease. There will be plenty of room for your group of up to 6 people to all sit out on the deck cheering each other on reeling in fish! The boat features a spacious cabin big enough to keep everyone out of the elements mother nature would throw at you as well. There’s also an ultra-clean private bathroom with a toilet on board and running water.
When it comes to electronics, the boat is equipped with an AM/FM Radio with Bluetooth, VHF radio, a GPS, fish finder, radar, and autopilot!
Once out fishing, you’ll target the strong and powerful King Salmon, Coho Salmon, Lake Trout, Brown Trout, and the high-flying Rainbow Trout (Steelhead).
We supply all the tackle, including rods, reels, lures, and anything else needed for the most successful fishing trip possible. Once the trip is over you can get a group photo of your catch and the captain will clean and bag all the fish.

Top Gun was the best frishing charter I've ever been on. the three of us had our limit of Coho 3 hrs early. Captain Grant is young in age but not experience. he was personable and had us catching right out of port.

The captain and crew were knowledgeable and answered every question the beginning fishermen had! For the experienced members of our group, we were able to hold casual conversations about equipment and changing seasons. All in all it was a great trip and all expectations were met!
I’ll say for my first time doing charter fishing. We caught some pretty good sized fish. We were definitely satisfied with the fish we caught and got to keep. I would definitely come again. Thank you. Nolan’s charter fishing
Fantastic experience! Beautiful day, water was slightly choppy, however, we had a great catch! Crew was amazingly friendly and welcoming! We will definitely be back with Captain Nolan, Foxy Lady!
The crew was fabulous. They worked extremely hard to catch fish. We caught 6 fish. Wish we could have done better but that’s fishing. You never know. We booked a five hour trip which broke down to 4 hours of fishing and 1 hour of travel to and from dock. A little disappointing
