Fishy Business Charters
Excited to catch some fish in Key West? That's what Fishy Business Charters is here for! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Eric knows them forwards and back.
These waters are known for Amberjack, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Blue Marlin, Sailfish, Swordfish, Tarpon, Wahoo, Red Grouper, Mutton Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Blackfin Tuna, Blacktip Shark, and more – with any luck, it won't take long to hook into some.
On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Eric can also help you try kite fishing.
Any fish within the legal limit are yours to take home. Plus, you can have your catch cleaned. How's that for fresh seafood?
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Also remember to bring snacks for a boost of energy when needed!
You'll be fishing aboard a 36' Center console that can carry up to 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible.
You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
Some essentials to bring are sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now, time to hit the water with Fishy Business Charters!

Everything about our trip was fantastic. Communication was great, we told Capt. Eric what our hopes were for the day, and he assured us he would do his best. We caught one tuna (one of our goal species) and three barracuda on our trip, but mostly we just enjoyed every minute on the water. When we returned to dock, he filleted our tuna and recommended a restaurant to cook it for us. We intend to return next year for another trip!

The knowledge and experience of the captain was beyond excellent. After hurricane Helene Had disturbed the waters around Key West he found the best fishing spots. We caught many Maui Maui, Barracuda and We caught a trophy sale fish. Our experience was better than we could have expected.

Had a great experience with Captain Joe. My wife and two boys were out with him for the 8 hour trip. The boat and equipment was all high quality and in great condition. He asked what species we wanted to target and asked for some bottom fishing and some trolling. We left promptly at 8 am and we’re on fish within 20 minutes. We bottom fished and jigged for half the day and caught all species including snapper, grouper and amber jacks among many more. Even hooked into a really nice shark but unfortunately he snapped the line after an hour fight. We later changed over to trolling and hooked into some barracuda. Trolling was slower but not due to lack of effort on Captain Joe’s part. He was entertaining and very knowledgeable and great with my family. Highly recommend.

Thanks for the review!!!!
Erick was knowledgeable, professional and experienced. We caught a bunch of fish and had a really nice day.
