Founded in 2021 by Captain Zach, Drop Zone Shark Fishing offers the ultimate shark fishing adventure right from the beach. Operating in Destin, Navarre, Santa Rosa Beach, and Panama City, we bring the action to wherever you are staying. We also provide custom trips along Florida's coast and the Eastern United States.
Our team uses specialized, custom-built reels, rigs, and gear, along with drones and professional kayakers, to deploy bait up to 800 yards offshore. Unlike traditional boat fishing, we fish from the beach—even in up to 50 mph winds and 7-foot waves—so trips rarely get canceled. This method allows for safe, ethical shark releases and incredible family photos.
We specialize in targeting bull, tiger, and great hammerhead sharks in warmer months, and Dusky and other pelagic species in cooler months. Our team has decades of combined experience studying shark migrations, making us the most knowledgeable shark fishing crew in the Gulf. Notably, we are the only group to have caught two 1,000+ pound great white sharks from the beach in Florida on the same day.

Epic Shark Fishing Trip – Two Sharks in the First Hour!
6 Hour Trip — Family Beach Shark on March 14, 2026 • 4 adults
This trip was absolutely incredible. Within the first hour of our six-hour charter we landed two sharks — one around 8 feet and another about 6 feet. From that moment on it was nonstop excitement and fun.
Captain Zack and his crew were awesome. Super knowledgeable, very hands-on, and just genuinely fun people to spend the day with. They made sure everyone had a great time and kept the energy high the entire trip. The gear, setup, and overall experience were top notch.
If you’re looking to catch real sharks and have an unforgettable time on the water in Destin, this is the trip to book. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Zach and his crew worked very hard in less than ideal conditions to get us 2 sharks! Zach’s passion for fishing and dedication to his customers was evident the moment you heard the reel “ZING” they all ran to catch that shark! I’ll never forget the sound that reel makes when a shark takes the bait!!

We had the four hour trip and didnt catch anything for 3 hours an in the last thirty minutes we doubled up! they did not give up and we where so glad. they made catching the fish easy for everyone. anyone could do this! Check rhe weather before you go it was pretty cold and out group wasnt ready for that.

Over all our experience was great, I wish we had got a shark to shore, but fishing is not cast and always catching. I will say the ad on here is a little misleading. It says they provide drinks, which I wish I would have known since we had several thirsty kiddos. Heads up Destin has no bathrooms so make sure you use it before hand. Parking is rough, around 7 it is super busy. But our Guide Ricardo was amazing he didn’t mind answering all the questions we had, even the kiddos who asked 3 times. He definitely tried his hardest to get us a shark, we actually decided to stay an extra 2 hours (6 total) and paid just to see if we could land a shark. We will be booking him for our trip next year! Extremely impressed with his patients and dedication to shark fishing.

Had an awesome experience with Zach and the crew at Dropzone! These guys know what they’re doing. They put me on two sharks and we even hooked into a massive hammerhead that took a wild run—unfortunately it hit the rocks and broke off, but what an adrenaline rush! They kayaked the bait out, set the lines perfectly, and made sure everything was dialed in for the best chance at a big catch. Super professional, but also chill and easy to talk to. If you're looking for a great time and a shot at hooking a large shark, I highly recommend Dropzone Shark Fishing. I’ll definitely be back!
