Mister Sportfishing welcomes you to the stunning waters of Lake Erie. Your guide for the day is Captain Jonathan, allowing you to benefit from years of sportfishing experience.

These waters are known for Walleye, and more – with any luck, you'll find out for yourself! You'll target your catch using light tackle provided by Capt Jon. You’ll be using the techniques of trolling, bottom bouncing fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area - don’t worry, Capt Jon will guide you and teach you the whole way!

Thinking of bringing the family? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks to keep up those energy levels!

You'll be dropping lines from a 21' Lund aluminum fishing boat with capacity for 3 passengers. It comes with downriggers, everything you need for a productive day on the water. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

Before coming aboard, you will be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

It's always wise to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat.  Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

    Limit of fish (tough conditions)

    6 Hour Trip – Walleye (AM) on July 20, 2025 • 3 adults

    Met Jon at 6am weather was calling for a Thunderstorm we fished for2 hours and Capt, Jon decided on heading back in for safety . We waited an hour and headed back out! The Lake was a lot rougher and Capt Jon found us some fish even with hard to control boat speed and rough water! We filled the cooler and fun was had by all! Thanks Capt.Jon

Captain Jon is knowledgeable and patient and knows where to find the salmon and trout in these waters. It's always a good time with the crew on the 34' cuddy cabin! These guys know all about fishing and can't wait to share an adventure with you. Mister Sportfishing is captained by Jonathan Forder, providing a safe and fun day of fishing. Your trip will take place on a Trojan 10m International, which is up to date with everything you will need for a great day of fishing. We recommend clients dress for the weather and bring drinks and snacks in a small cooler for the day. All fish caught and kept will be filleted and bagged for you by Captain Jon at the end of your trip. Captain Jon will share knowledge of the lake and educational tips on how to catch all species of fish with you during your day out on the Mister. Captain Jon is an avid tournament competitor with numerous wins and top placing tournaments on Lake Ontario's southern shore.
