Savage Pursuit Guide Service – Monroe
Make an adventure out of your next trip in Monroe and go fishing with Savage Pursuit Guide Service.
These waters are known for Walleye, Yellow Perch, and more – with any luck, you'll have tight lines in no time. For these species, you're likely to troll using light tackle.
Capt. Aaron Savage welcomes children aboard, so feel free to make a family day out of it! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. You're welcome to bring snacks and drink to stay fueled throughout your trip!
Your boat for the day is a 28' Angler Qwest Pro-Troll 826 DLX center console with room for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Before coming aboard, you will be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group over 16. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's always wise to bring sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottle of water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation. No glass bottles or hard liquor or drugs will be permitted aboard.

We started the trip wanting Walleye but mother nature had different plans. After trying to fish in 3 foot waves, Captain Aaron took us to a cove. The water was very calm and the wind was non existent. We started catching catfish after catfish! Captain Arron made sure we had fish and one of the best trips we have ever had. Thank you Captain Aaron for your calm and cool nature. My 12 year old grandson was on his first charter and you gave him a memory he will have a lifetime! I can’t wait till our next charter!
Aaron and his son did a great job of bringing us to a location to catch fish. They are very knowledgeable and go out of their way to make your trip enjoyable. My only disappointment was that it was advertised that they take care of the fish cleaning and as we started out toward the channel I was told he would clean walleye, but not perch. When we got back to the dock, the fish cleaning guy was gone, so they put them on ice and cleaned them the next morning. I ended up driving from Trenton to Monroe and then back to Trenton to pick up the fish. It also cost me an extra $50. for cleaning the fish. It just seemed a lot of extra cost between the charter cost, mate tip, fish cleaning fee. I assumed everything was included, it was not! A nice fishing trip, just beware of hidden costs or added costs!

Thanks for allowing us to be part of the memory making with you and your family. Im glad you had a good time and caught a good haul of fish. My apologies for any miscommunication in regards to our conversation on my contract with my Marina and its fish cleaning services provided. Tight Lines

Our family really wanted to go fishing on Lake Erie, and all I can say are good things! Captain Aaron and his son were absolutely fantastic—super helpful, patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. We ended up catching nearly 20 lbs of perch along with some drum. It was a great experience from start to finish, and we’ll definitely be booking with Aaron again. Highly recommend!
The water ended up being too rough but the captain went out prior to our arrival to set up back up plans which we ended up going with which was a species change and still came out with alot of fish and had a blast. The captain and crew were amazing and plan to book again in the near future.

cant wait until next time!

Great day out fishing with Captain Aaron, fun time for everyone! Hope to be back on the water with him soon!

It was great having you aboard! Thank you for trusting us with your fishing trip and for sharing your positive experience.
