Ratchetjaw Charters
The town of Monroe Michigan lies just between Toledo and Detroit. With its River Raisin National Park and the shore of Lake Erie, this place is great to get away from the hustle and bustle. When you're there, use the opportunity to contact Ratchetjaw Charters. They will help you set off on the waters of Lake Erie and do some relaxing fishing. Captain Aaron Brink will guide you along the way and make sure you have a good time.
You'll be gliding the lake on board the Hewescraft Ocean Pro, aluminum fishing model from 2020 with a heated cabin.
It can accommodate up to 6 guests per trip. The boat is 26' and it is fitted with a single Suzuki engine that can reach top speeds of 36 kn. For your better fishing experience, Garmin fishfinding equipment is available, and you can keep your catch in the onboard livewell.
This charter specializes in Lake Erie tours and depending on how the fish lead you, the boat might be cruising from Michigan to Ohio waters. You'll be targeting the mouth-watering Walleye, so you might stock up your fridge with some tasty fish. You are going to use trolling to go after your fish, while jigging is also an option during springtime.
You don't have to bring your fishing equipment and lures, as the crew will provide you with everything. However, the charter doesn't cover the Michigan and Ohio fishing license. Depending on the weather, the captain will contact you in advance regarding this. If you get lucky you can keep your catch, or you can release it. Families with children are welcome.
Experience the magnificence of Lake Erie and get yourself the chance to fill your fridge with some delicious Walleye. Book a trip with Ratchetjaw Charters.

We caught lots of fish! Had a wonderful time Captain was knowledgeable and fantastic! Would book again.
Thank you for the opportunity to take y’all fishing. Hope to see you again.

Captain Aaron was awesome. We had constant questions about the area, where we could fish without a charter, when we came up from Cincinnati. He answered all of them, pointed us in the right direction. We caught almost 50 fish, of all species and caught our limit on Walleye. He cleaned them and bagged them for us to vacuum seal later, but did recommend a restaurant that would cook our catch that evening. I would definetly recommend Captain Aaron and will be scheduling a trip for next June. The boat, tackle and rigs were spot on and he helped us through everything. I have a Father that is 82 years old, with a severe limp, and Captain Aaron made sure he was able to fish/catch as well as myself and his grandson. This was an amazing trip and ALL 3 of us enjoyed it and the Captain chimed in with some fun things talking about the competition between us all.
thank you i look forward to tge next opportunity
I chartered a trip for my Son and two grandsons along with a buddy and we had an amazing time. Captain Aaron provided a great experience for our first time out on Lake Erie and he was an excellent host. His knowledge of the area and the fishing was very informative and entertaining. After returning back to the pier he cleaned our catch and even recommended a local Bar & Grill (TrapperZ) which could cook it for dinner. It was a real treat to catch a bunch of Walleye and then go have fish and chips. I would definitely book with Captain Aaron again for any future trips.
Thanks for choosing me for your adventure.
I took my youngest 3 grandkids this trip. First time on a Geat Lake or fishing from a boat for them. We limited out and all 3 grandkids had a blast. Even though I showed them pictures of their older cousin's trip two weeks earlier (also limited out) they were still surprised how much fun it was. I can't compliment Capt Aaron enough as to everything he did helping them out on what to do. Rachetjaw will always be my top choice for future trips. He worked very hard to make our trip successful, not only for the fish, but for the memories we'll have forever!!!!
Thanks again for the opportunity to take you and your grandkids fishing.
