Double D Fishing Charters of NW Florida is a premier charter service offering unforgettable fishing experiences. We are dedicated to providing exceptional service and ensuring every trip is both exciting and safe.
Captains Paul and Eric, a father-son team, provide trips offshore in State and Federal waters. If you don't see an offering that fits your needs, message us and we'll get back to you with some suggestions.
We specialize in charters along Florida’s Emerald Coast. Based in Pensacola, FL, we have access to waters from the Alabama state line over to Navarre, FL. We’d love to take you on a trip you’ll remember for years to come!
Kids are welcome aboard but for safety reasons, charters with children under 6 years won't be run offshore. Please contact us to discuss before booking.
Species vary by location. One of the greatest things about fishing saltwater is the variety of fish you can land. We welcome you aboard a large 24’ Ranger bay boat we call Mermaid One. We do charters up to 4 passengers. In addition to all safety equipment required by the USCG we also have an Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon, EPIRB, to further enhance the safety of our operation. We are equipped with all the tackle required for your outing, including quality gear from suppliers like PENN, Daiwa and Okuma. We fish with cut bait, live bait and artificial lures, all of which are provided.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.
Items to bring- sunglasses, drinks (we'll have plenty of water for you), and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation. Please be aware that a hold harmless waiver will need to be signed before the start of the charter. If paying with a credit card or payment service, a 3.5% service fee is added to the balance due.

Perfect Family Fishing Day…
4 Hour Trip – Offshore on November 24, 2025 • 4 adults
From our inital online contact with the captain to end of our family day adventure, we had a great time making lot of memories.
We caught about 7 different types of fish during our 4 hr offshore trip. We caught a lot of Triggerfish, Red Snappers and few Amberjack. Amberjack was by far most exciting fish reeling in. All in all, we caught about 20+ fish. Unfortunately most of them are not in season or it was too small for us to keep. Captain also provided us a lot of information about the fish we caught and fishing techniques for our boys. We really enjoyed and appreciate the fishing experience from the Captain. Hopefully we’ll be back soon and book abother outing with them.

Above and Beyond: A Memorable Day with Double D Fishing Charter
5hr Federal Offshore 9+mi Morning on August 30, 2025 • 2 adults
We went on a trip with Double D Fishing Charter, and despite the rainy weather, the captain made sure we still had a great experience. He adjusted our sail time to work around the rain and even stayed out past the allotted time since the first two spots didn’t produce keepers.
Eric and Paul were fantastic—when I lost my grip on the reel, they jumped right in to help, and they made sure everyone on board felt comfortable. Don’t be afraid to ask for a hand—some of these fish put up a serious fight!
They also went the extra mile by providing rain jackets, which helped us a lot in the weather, and at the end of the trip, they cleaned and filleted the fish for us to take home.
Overall, a great experience with a hardworking and friendly crew. Highly recommend Double D Fishing Charter if you’re looking for a charter that goes above and beyond to make sure you have a memorable day on the water.

Awesome fishing memory
4 Hour Trip – Offshore on July 2, 2025 • 4 adults
Duo captain/captain father/son Paul/Eric piloted the boat and prepared the fishing gears as well as helped baiting and removing the fish. They also educated us about the different type of fish.The meeting place is easy to find (need to book the parking through an app), Paul went through the pre-trip safety procedures before we took off … (we initially booked a 4-hr in-shore tour but they offered to take us off-shore with no extra charge), about over half an hour we stopped at an artificial reef (with only one bite), then go to the next (caught some), then the next (caught more), then the fourth stop where we caught red snapper left-and-right almost every time we dropped the line (totally 16 kept and at least 15 releases due to under-sized). Returned trip was about an hour, Paul + Eric cleaned the fish for us. I had taken a “party boat” fishing before but that had more waste time due to the large group of people dropping the lines and got tangled. Yes, the charge is higher for this trip but the memory is priceless. We strongly recommend Double D (D for Douglass) Fishing Charter.

5hr Federal Offshore 9+mi Morning on June 22, 2025 • 2 adults
I surprised my husband with a deep sea fishing trip for his birthday, and it’s quite possible this will be the birthday gift from now on! We had SO MUCH fun. Unfortunately, Captain Eric wasn’t able to join us, but Captain Paul didn’t skip a beat. He put us right on a wide assortment of fish, and if there was ever a time that the fish weren’t biting, he didn’t waste ANY time getting us on the next spot. Some of what we were able to keep were Almaco Jack, Vermillion, Tile fish, Grouper, Porgy, and Red Snapper. We also hooked a Puffer fish and several Triggerfish that we were unable to keep due to them being out of season or too small. Captain Paul has a true passion for fishing and is more than thrilled to share his knowledge with others. His patience is top notch, as this was mine and my husband’s first time! I HIGHLY recommend Double D’s for anyone looking to have a great day on the water reelin’m in!!
