+119If you’re in the market for a day to remember, look no further than Fishing Machine and their boat Good News. Captain Laurin will be your guide, allowing you to benefit from years of angling experience.
Great Barracuda, Amberjack, Bonito, Black Grouper, Mahi Mahi, Goliath Grouper, Red Grouper, African Pompano Jack, Little Tunny (False Albacore), Blue Marlin, Sailfish, White Marlin, and more are in the cards, depending on the time of year. You can expect to do some trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Children are welcome, so get ‘em offline and onto the water! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks – lucky for you, there will already be some on board!
Capt. Laurin welcomes you aboard the Good News, a 43’ Torres convertible that can carry up to 12 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, as well as lures.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
It’s recommended to bring sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks included on board.

LET ME TELL YOU A SHORT STORY ABOUT THIS CREW including, Tito,and Elias. We are down here for spring break and I’m bringing a few of my sons friend and fathers, deep-sea fishing for the very first time. Unfortunately, the seas were not favorable and we had probably 6 to 8 foot seas. Been the first hour I had four men throwing up overboard. At that point, I said to the captain, wrap it up and bring them in, I don’t want them ruining their vacation over a fishing trip. Without hesitation, he brought them back into port. And I resumed Fishing by myself for the rest of the day. They were very helpful while the kids were getting sick. And very accommodating to get them back to the dock and bring me back out to the sea. We caught three mahi-mahi, one barracuda, and lost one monster Wahoo. The captain was extremely knowledgeable of the seas. By following the grass line, chasing the birds around and was diligent by getting me to where the fish were. The meats were very helpful and clearing the seaweed off of the lines. Even though I typically give them a hand with my fishing knowledge. Without reservation, I highly recommend this amazing staff.

We had a very large group of high school seniors celebrating graduation with a fishing charter out of Punta Cana. The captain and crew were so nice and made sure everyone was having a fantastic time. We caught many and really enjoyed the day.

The crew was awesome. We tipped them very well. We caught Mahi Mahi. We tipped very well, but they wanted more to clean the fish for us after I confirmings with the company that they would clean them.
