Around here the fishing is popular for Striped Bass, Bluefish, Catfish, Cobia, White Perch, Rockfish, Spanish Mackerel, Whiting, and more with any luck. During the trip you might be spinning, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Capt. Thomas Loch runs a 42' Gene Travis Custom bay boat with capacity for 6 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods and reels are supplied for you as well as bait and lures.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. A 20% Mate Fee is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
It's always wise to bring bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Amazing trip and will return

We had a great time. Nearly had a full load of people (can have up to six, we had five) and we all caught fish the entire time. Capt knew where to take us to make sure we got our moneys worth. We did the four hour bottom fishing trip and came home with enough for dinner for a week. Capt and first mate are great to chat with, made us feel comfortable and helped us out the entire time. Six stars of if I could. We will definitely be returning and hope to get out on the bay. Thanks again!

Great morning on the water in Solomon's

We had a great 5 hour trip with Capt Thomas and first mate Jimmy! Bottom fishing was hot and our family caught a ton (30-40) of spot and croaker. Capt knew all the hot spots on the river. We then made it to a few spots to try for rockfish. Both our sons reeled in big dogs and we lost a few but that’s fishing! Thanks for a memorable day in Solomon’s island and a delicious freshly caught lunch!!

While in the area we looked book a fishing trip. After going through several on-line sites came across Lochjaw Capt. and Jimmy but us on fish early and often. We selected the 5 hr bottom fishing trip, we caught plenty of Spot for a family fish fry that evening. Both Capt and Jimmy were great at helping when it was needed and letting us take care of ourselves when we could.

Learning experience and Caught 24 fish!

My son and I learned a lot fishing tricks including a tool to de hook fish from the hook and how to clean the fish so they are ready to eat. I will take this knowledge and share it with my son on future adventures on our own and when we come back to see this captain. He also let us borrow some tools so we could practice cleaning the fish. Great day!

The Captain and crew were very professional and friendly. The Captain was very accommodating with moving the boat around so that we could catch fish. He also had us on fish approximately 20 minutes after we left the dock and let us fish until the allotted time booked, which I hadn’t experienced with other Captains. KUDOS TO CAPTAIN WEEMS AND HIS CREW!!!!
