These waters are known for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Black Drum, Sheepshead, and more – with any luck, you’ll hook into a few! Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself light tackle fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Fishin’ The Flats Charters is a kid-friendly charter service, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! And, you can’t go wrong with snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
You’ll be welcome aboard a 23’ Coastal Flats boat with room for 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, as well as lures. Live bait is available.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, lunch, and sunscreen. Drinks will be available for you. There will be some light snacks for you on board.

3/4 Day Trip on August 17, 2026 • 3 adultsCaptain Chris took my family and I out in relatively tough conditions for reds. It’s been scorching heat for days, little to no wind, and the activity reflected that. It was a tough go for a minute, with trash fish and crabs plaguing us, but Chris kept his head on the swivel, and constantly moved us in search for fish. Fish are always biting, regardless of the conditions, and he knew that. It was just a matter of figuring them out. He got us on the reds, and in conditions like that, I’m confident he can get target fish in the boat regardless of the circumstances. I would highly recommend Chris for a trip. He is a young, high energy captain, with nothing but knowledge akin to captains who’ve been fishing for 20 years. It is evident he enjoys just being out there on the water, excited and passionate to pursue the fish he’s been after since he was a kid. With that being said, I would still give Chris 5 stars with zero fish on the line. It is extremely evident he is knowledgeable, and even experts have their days, but it is still fishing in the end. I’ve been on boats catching plenty of fish with captains who are cocky and standoffish. I would rather a day on the boat with Chris and no fish than a rude, salty captain any day of the week. Keep up the good work, man.

Half Day Trip on August 11, 2026 • 2 adultsCapt. Chris led a great charter. Hit the water around 7 am and hit our limit on redfish in no time. Released a few more reds and some nice flounder as they were out of season. Capt. Chris definitely knows his way around these waters as we bounced around quite a bit when the bite slowed down looking for the fish. All equipment on board was top of the line and the boat ran great. Overall a great time and would recommend to anglers of any level.

Captain Chris was very friendly and engaging and both my kids loved him! He went out of his way to accommodate us when we had some particularly ridiculous requests. He also put us on the fish! We all got to take turns reeling in plenty of fish...even got into some slot redfish! 100% recommend him to any family...you won't regret it!

Went out for a 1/2 day trip on Coastal Flats with Captain Chris. 2 of my adult daughters and my Son-in law were with me. Captain Chris was awesome and put us on the fish !! Pulled in some nice Bull Redfish. He knows the area and is an excellent Captain. Whether going fishing or taking young kids for a nature ride, I highly recommend Captain Chris !!!
what an excellent trip today. capt Chris really pulled out all the stops. great experience, caught nice keeper fish, father and son trip. i would recommend and cant wait till next time.
