My sons and I came down for a father / sons fishing trip. The weather was not on our side today. But Captain Chris worked hard to get us out of the wind and choppy waters. Had an awesome trip with Captain Chris Gongora and Fishin’ the Flats Charters! We limited out on redfish early, and Chris made the call to target flounder—where I landed my personal best of a lifetime! Chris knows the water, keeps it fun, and puts you on the fish. Highly recommend and can’t wait to book again!

We spent the morning with Captain Chris and caught over a dozen fish and multiple species.  He has a good boat and great gear.  He knows the area well and we were catching right away.  His set up would be good for families with small children or a few adults.

This was my family’s first charter, we have kids age 6 and 9…one of which with special needs. Captain Chris was very friendly and engaging and both my kids loved him! He went out of his way to accommodate us when we had some particularly ridiculous requests. He also put us on the fish! We all got to take turns reeling in plenty of fish…even got into some slot redfish! 100% recommend him to any family…you won’t regret it!
