Los Angeles has a fish with your name on it, so let LA Sportfishing help you catch it! This is the same group as the LA Sportfishing team (40+ reviews - 4.95 star rating) but on this listing they offer longer trips for bigger gamefish and LOBSTER hooping trips during lobster season.
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Pacific Barracuda, Calico Bass, California Sheephead, Mahi Mahi, Halibut, Lingcod, Rockfish, Scorpionfish, White Seabass, Yellowtail Amberjack, Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, and plenty more. On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Brian can also help you try kite fishing.
Young ones are welcome, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are never a bad idea to keep their stamina going!
Your vessel for the day is a 31’ Bertram sportfishing vessel with space for 6 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. Brian will supply rods and reels for you. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate or a 2nd Captain on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates/Captains work hard to make your trip count, so a 20% tip is customary.
You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
You can’t go wrong when you bring sunblock (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. Time to make it happen, with LA Sportfishing!
