Looking to go fishing in Gloucester? Make it happen, with PinWheel Tuna Fishing!
Bluefin Tuna, and more inhabit these waters if you come at the right time of year. On these trips, it’s common to bottom fish using heavy tackle.
If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Feel free to bring your own snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
Capt. Tyler runs a 55' Dixon downeast with capacity for 6 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. Rods and reels are supplied for you. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
You will need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's recommended to bring sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses.
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. Time to make it happen, with PinWheel Tuna Fishing!
