Santa’s Choice Charters welcomes you to the stunning waters of Ketchikan. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Alexander is prepared to put you on fish.

Chinook Salmon, Chum Salmon, Coho Salmon, Pink Salmon, Halibut, and more inhabit these waters, depending on the season. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.

Trips with Santa’s Choice Charters are fun for all ages, so get ‘em offline and onto the water! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Also remember to bring snacks to keep ‘em happy!

You’ll step aboard a 28’ Fairline sportfishing with room for 6 passengers. It comes with downriggers, everything you need for a productive day on the water. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures.

Before coming aboard, you’ll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

It’s always wise to bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

We are located away from the cruiseships so you will have to take a cab to the boat.  This is accounted for by our price being lower than the boats located in town.  The benefit? We are much closer to the fishing grounds and can give you more fishing time on the water and less time running to the fish!
