These waters are known for Snook, Tarpon, Goliath Grouper, Lane Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, and more – with any luck, you'll find out for yourself! On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own.
Capt. Austin runs a 22' Bull's Bay boat with capacity for 3 passengers. Comes with a reliable Suzuki 140 and a Minn Kota 80lb thrust trolling motor.
Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
A few items to bring include sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
