RJs Brainerd Fishing Guides

RJ's Brainerd Fishing Guides is built around spending real time on the water and putting clients on fish, plain and simple. The Brainerd Lakes Area is loaded with opportunity, and depending on the season we'll be chasing walleye, bass, or panfish across a variety of lakes and structures. Every trip is adjusted to the conditions that day so we're fishing the most productive patterns, not just going through the motions.
You'll be fishing out of a Warrior 2090 that's set up to handle anything these lakes throw at us, from calm mornings to windy afternoons. The boat is fully rigged with top of the line electronics, including forward facing sonar, which allows us to stay on active fish and make adjustments in real time. I'll walk you through what we're seeing and why we're fishing certain areas so you're not just catching fish, you're learning how to find them too.
Whether you're an experienced angler looking to dial things in or just want a fun day on the water with family or buddies, the goal stays the same. We're going to fish hard, have a good time, and make sure you leave with a better understanding of the lake and the techniques we used to catch them.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
