I had an amazing kayak trip with John! He is extremely professional and knowledgeable about fishing, and his passion really shows. He shared so many useful tips and techniques, and every spot he took us to was right on point, we caught plenty of fish and learned a lot along the way. What impressed me most is that he tailors the experience to different skill levels, making sure everyone enjoys their time on the water. This was by far my best fishing experience ever! I’ll definitely be coming back to fish with him again. Highly recommended!

Incredible trip, just like always! It was such an immersive, hands on experience from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Spent the morning catching fish and gliding around docks/mangroves. Stopped at an island to walk around and fish from shore a bit. Great Experience!

Thank you Mike! I had a great time fishing with you. Hope to see you again soon!

We came for a trip to Florida from Oregon and my husband loves to fish, so I booked him a trip and he absolutely had a blast! John is a great guy and my husband said if we come back to Florida, he is for sure heading out with him again.

I Fished with John for 2 days on my trip to Florida and had a fantastic experience. John really knows his stuff and his kayaks are a comfortable ride. I highly recommend fishing with John and I will definitely book with him again in the future
John – Kayak Fishing Guide With 10+ years fishing Florida's Indian River Lagoon, I specialize in pedal drive kayak trips from Wabasso to Melbourne. I'll put you on fish while sharing the wildlife and hidden waters that make this place unforgettable. I'm John, the guide behind JP Kayak Fishing and Tours. For over a decade, I've been exploring the Indian River Lagoon — from Wabasso up to Melbourne — chasing Snook, Redfish, Tarpon, and whatever else bends a rod. Kayak fishing hooked me years ago because it's the most intimate, quiet way to fish — no engine roar, just the sound of your paddle and the sight of tailing fish in the shallows. Over time, I've learned every hidden flat, mangrove cut, and channel where the fish like to feed. I offer Hobie pedal driven kayaks so you can cover water with ease while still keeping the stealth that makes kayak fishing so effective. Whether it's your first time in a kayak or you're chasing your personal best, I tailor each trip to your skill level and goals. For me, guiding is more than putting clients on fish — it's about sharing the wildlife, sunrises, and local secrets that make these waters special. If you're ready for a fishing trip that's personal, hands on, and unforgettable, I'd be honored to show you my home waters.
