This trip is designed specifically for beginners and first-time anglers who want to learn the fundamentals of inshore fishing in a relaxed, hands-on environment. If you’ve never fished before or want to build confidence on the water, this is a great way to get started.
We’ll primarily focus on fishing docks and structure using live shrimp, one of the most effective and beginner-friendly baits in our local waters. I’ll guide you step-by-step through the basics, including casting, baiting hooks, working your bait naturally, and how to properly fight and land fish.
These docks often hold a variety of species, and depending on conditions we may encounter Snook, Trout, Redfish, Jacks, and other inshore fish.
Since this is a kayak-based trip, you’ll also get a unique and quiet perspective of the lagoon. It’s common to see dolphins, manatees, pelicans, ospreys, and other coastal wildlife while we’re out on the water.
This trip is ideal for:
• First-time anglers
• Anyone wanting to learn the basics of inshore fishing
• Visitors looking for a relaxed introduction to fishing in the lagoon
By the end of the trip, you’ll have a solid understanding of the fundamentals and the confidence to keep fishing on your own.
