These waters are known for Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Flounder, Weakfish, Bluefish, Striped Bass, Tautog, Black Seabass, Thresher Shark, Crab, Clam, and more – with any luck, they'll make your reel scream. You can expect to do some spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Ryan can also help you try kite fishing.
BehrAcuda Sportfishing welcomes kids aboard, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
Capt. Ryan welcomes you aboard a 24' Cape Horn center console that holds up to 3 passengers. It comes with outriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. He will provide rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
Don't leave home without sunglasses, a hat, and sunblock (non-spray). Bottled water will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Captain Ryan and firstmate Pat definitely made this a great day !! I can't thank them enough for this experience. I will be booking with Behracuda fishing again soon.
Today was super windy, but Captain Ryan knew what to do! We were the only ones to get stripers up and down the shore. We got one keeper each in half the trip time! The best fishing experience thus far!!
I've been fishing for years as a NJ native and I've got to tell you about Captain Ryan. He's awesome! He truly knows what he's doing and gives the best experiences. He truly knows his way in the water and will put you on some fish forsure. Every time there's availability I will always book the Behracuda. I've wasted so much money on party boats and getting skunkd and wanted a fairly priced charter boat. His boat is very roomy and he has top quality gear. I've fished on a ton of boats and I've chartered quite a few boats and I've got to say Behracuda is my #1 go to now. Ryan is a expert fisherman and I'm very lucky to have met him. He even helps cleaning and packing the fish and his skill with fileting fish is cool to watch. I highly recommend Captain Ryan whether you prefer solo trips or a small party. You can consider me a lifetime client. Thank you for every trip!

For an early Father’s Day gift, my sons took me on the “BehrAcuda”.. It was the best Father’s Day gift ever!! Captain Ryan couldn’t have been any nicer to us!! His boat was really clean and provided everything that we needed! When we got back to the dock, he cleaned the fish we caught and enjoyed a delicious dinner! We look forward to booking a future trip! Was a blast took my brother for his birthday and caught fish in the first 5 minutes of trolling. Captain Ryan was very cool and accommodating. Will definitely be coming back!

Ever since I can remember I have had a passion for boating, fishing and all around being on the water. I grew up fishing Raritan Bay for striped bass, fluke and black fish on my fathers and uncles boats. My passion led me to attend SUNY Maritime College where I got my captains license and started a career as a tugboat captain. Since then I have become obsessed with offshore fishing and the pursuit of blufin and yelowfin tuna along with all the inshore species NJ has to offer. When I'm not at work (on the water) I spend everyday that I'm home on the water !
