Redfish, and more could be biting if conditions are right. You'll target your catch by spinning, popping, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Wes also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
Trips with Marsh Magic Guide Service are open to the whole family, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to keep up those energy levels!
Your trip begins aboard a 20' Jones Brothers center console that can carry up to 3 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
Some essentials to bring are bottled water, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now, come aboard with Marsh Magic Guide Service and get hooked!

I can honestly say Captain Wes worked harder than any guide I ever had on locating fish and ensuring I got my bucket list drum. He was pleasant to be around and had a wealth of knowledge about the surrounding area.

Always a pleasure to fish with you.
Fishing my whole life, I decided to step up my game and start a guiding career in Alaska. I fished and worked in various lodges and employed various techniques for 21 years. From fly fishing fickle rainbows to jigging for monster halibut, I truly enjoyed my Alaska guiding experience. I now pursue the inshore game fish that captivated my NC youth. From flounder and speckled trout to huge redfish, my Summer and Fall is now spent on coastal water from Southport to Pamlico Sound.
