You can target these Smallmouth by spinning, trolling, drifting, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Or local guide welcomes children aboard so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Also, remember to bring snacks!

Your local guide runs a 21’ boat that can carry up to 4 passengers. It comes with fishing chairs, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods, reels, and tackle are included, along with lures.

Before coming aboard, it will be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a particular tag, so make sure you know what to expect or ask our guide.

Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), and a hat. Bottled water and ice will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Great Fishing with Captain Rick

We did the 6 hour charter for Small and Large mouth bass with Captain Rick Mitchell out of Cape Vincent. He is a seasoned pro and took us to great spots. He had very nice equipment to use, Very nice lures to use, and outstanding electronics to navigate good fishing spots. Can't recommend him more highly. He was wonderful and we had a trip, brought home a great catch of small mouth bass, and we'll definitely do it again.

Good day out on the water!

Captain Rick did a great job working in tough conditions to try to find and catch fish.   His boat is a really good fit for the river and lake with plenty of space to fish comfortably. As someone who has fished the river a long time but wanted to learn more, he openly shared techniques and spots that have worked for him that I’ll definitely try on future visits.  I’d definitely go again!

Caught some big bass with very knowledgeable Captain
