Lake Trout, Brown Trout, Atlantic Salmon, Rainbow trout, Yellow Perch, and more inhabit these waters, depending on when you go. You can expect to do some spinning, or maybe something more specialized in this area such as custom light tackle jigging trips( Active hands on and engaged fishing). Sorry no trolling or planner boards, no bass fishing; just specialized jigging for Trout, Yellow Perch.
Your boat for the day is a 2022 18’ Lund Alaskan tiller with room for 3 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. Your captain will provide rods and reels and non alcoholic beverages.
Before coming aboard, it will be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.
A few items to bring include sunblock (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation. Bring a cooler to leave in your vehicle if you plan on keeping fish, I will provide the Ice. Fish cleaning as always is free.

We headed out and caught 2 nice lake trout. He found the fish quickly and guided our execution with a lot of tips and tricks to get them hooked and in the boat. Were new to lake trout so our technique needed some help or we’d have caught more. We found Captain Steve to be friendly and had great conversations. We look forward to booking with him again next year!

Its about 2 hours from where we live, but it was absolutely worth the effort. My husband praised the captain's professionalism, knowledge, and skill. He also said he was just generally a nice guy. Husband and son were thrilled to catch 5 beautiful, big lake trout, which were professionally cleaned by the captain and sent home on ice, so we could have a fresh fish dinner! There's nothing quite like spending a few hours on the lake with someone who clearly knows what theyre doing.

Special 4 hour trip for Tim Gilchrist on June 23, 2025 • 2 adultsMy son and I traveled from MD to Cayuga lake near Ithaca to fish before we headed over to Cooperstown for a baseball tournament. Our experience was top notch with Fish Pimpin Guide Service. We fished a 4 hr trip and were fishing the entire time, the boat was perfect to fish any and everywhere and was comfortable to sit and cast or stand and move around. Steven was super knowledgeable and gave us a lot of good tips and tricks for fishing the finger lakes. We had a great day on the water targeting trout and perch. We hope to book future trips with him on our return trips to the region to fish.

He was really patient with us and put us right on the fish. We managed to catch a nice 18" lake trout and a monster 25" rainbow trout. Can't say enough good things about the excellent service. Definitely book a trip with him!

55 years old been fishing for at least 50 of them. l’ve had a lot of experiences but this was different. Bass fisherman that wanted to try something else. He answered a never ending line of questions while teaching a friend and I how to catch lakers. We caught many, we also fished for perch and caught a bundle using a technique that I was aware of but never tried. He is not the average guide. It was more like fishing with your brother you haven’t seen in years with above average intelligence and fishing skills. Oh yeah, he doesn’t charge to filet the fish. I could go on.
