Around here it's common to catch Cobia, Amberjack, Great Barracuda, Mahi Mahi, Gag Grouper, Red Grouper, Scamp Grouper, African Pompano Jack, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Tarpon, Red Snapper, Black Grouper, and more, depending on the time of year. Depending on the species you're after, you may find yourself fishing with heavy tackle, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Your trip begins aboard a 26' Sea Hunt center console with room for 6 passengers. It comes with downriggers, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. Jon will supply rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.

The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), and a hat. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid glass bottles.
