Depending on conditions, you might hook into Black Drum, Gag Grouper, Red Grouper, Jack Crevalle, Ladyfish, Ray, Redfish, Blacktip Shark, Bonnethead Shark, Sheepshead, Mangrove Snapper, Snook, and whatever else is biting. On the day of your trip you’re likely to drift and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.

Families making of a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!

You’ll find yourself aboard a 18’ Beavertail Skiff with room for 6 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.

Don’t leave home without sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
