You're likely to fish for Walleye, Muskellunge (Musky), Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Catfish, Smallmouth Bass, and more, depending on conditions. On the day of your trip you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Capt. Matthew welcomes anglers of all ages, including kids, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Don't forget to bring snacks for a boost of energy when needed!
You'll be welcome aboard a 21' Grady-White center console that can carry up to 3 passengers. It comes with all the essentials Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish(when available). Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
You will need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Some essentials to bring are bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray).

We had the perfect day with Captain Matt. Weather was perfect, equipment was top notch, and Matt's knowledge and expert technique helped us land 21 beautiful pickerel. We also did catch and release on bass, sheephead, and even a muskie!! A trip like this would be the perfect Father's day gift, birthday gift or even to get out on the water for the day with friends and have some fun! We will definitely be going again. Matt was a most gracious and accomodating Captain. Thanks for making it such a great experience Matt!
Captain it was extremely welcoming and easy-going while still be professional. It made the whole experience smooth and effortless. His years of knowledge and info on the waters made catch and walleye easier than ever. Would definitely recommend to a friend or a group of buddies
Captain Matt was fantastic - we brought our 4 year old and we all had a blast. Captain Matt was very knowledgeable on where to go to maximize the fish caught while keeping things safe and calm for our little guy. We’ll certainly use Erie Boys for another charter in the future.
