You’re likely to fish for Walleye, Muskellunge (Musky), Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Catfish, Smallmouth Bass, and more, depending on conditions. On the day of your trip you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.

Capt. Matthew welcomes anglers of all ages, including kids, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Don’t forget to bring snacks for a boost of energy when needed!

You’ll be welcome aboard a 21’ Grady-White center console that can carry up to 3 passengers. It comes with all the essentials Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish(when available). Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.

You will need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

Some essentials to bring are bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray).
