Around here the fishing is popular for Largemouth Bass, Spotted Bass, and more if you cast your line at the right time of year. You can expect to do some casting, spinning, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Tyler also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
Are you thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Don’t forget to bring snacks for a boost of energy when needed!
You’ll be casting lines from a 21’ Skeeter bass boat with space for 4 passengers. It has a fighting chair, which is all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Capt. Tyler will provide rods and reels for you, along with all lures.
Before coming aboard, you’ll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
You can’t go wrong when you bring sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Bottled water is included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
