Whistlin Dipsy Charters welcomes you to the stunning waters of Manistee.
These waters hold game fish like Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), and Lake Trout. You'll target your catch by trolling.
Capt. Tim welcomes children aboard, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks. Sorry, no pets allowed.
You'll be fishing aboard a 28' Carolina Classic with space for 4 to 6 passengers. It has downriggers, a fighting chair, all the essentials. We provide all necessary fishing equipment.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
You will need to get a Michigan fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can purchase them at most sporting goods stores and or Meijer.
Don't forget to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to know your limits.

5 Hour Trip on August 22, 2024I took my crew out with Tim for 2 half day trips last August and wow did we land some fish!! We took home over 200 lbs of fillets between 9 of us over 2 half day trips. Tim has been fishing those waters his whole life for Salmon and now that he’s a Captain, it shows!!! He has all the experience you can ask for and he puts fish in the cooler!!! Top notch, book your next trip with him!!

Took time to explain the process and make sure we had a great fishing experience. Alot of laughs and perhaps a few stiff shoulders from reeling in our fish. Highly recommend Whislin Dipsy Charters. We had a great charter experience with Tim and caught several salmon. Tim did a great job working with the group who had their first salmon charter experience. Would highly recommend going with tim on a charter anytime. We’ll probably have the same group back next year and we’ll book with Tim if he is available.
Had great trip this morning with Captain Tim. We went 7 for 12 with a couple of nice Kings. The boat was spacious and comfortable and Captain Tim worked his magic getting on the fish. I would highly recommend him.
