Our Reel Heroes Charters 2
Our Reel Heroes Charters is all about fishing the stunning waters of Manistee.
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Coho Salmon, Brown Trout, Lake Trout, Chinook Salmon, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), and whatever else is biting.
For these species, you're likely to troll.
Children are welcome, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are never a bad idea!
Your excursion begins aboard a 36' Sportfishing with capacity for 6 passengers. It comes with downriggers, all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, as well as lures.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
You might need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's always wise to bring bottled water, sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
