Depending on the season, you might hook into Smallmouth Bass, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Brown Trout, Chinook Salmon, Walleye, and who knows what else! For these species, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light tackle.
Trips with Originator Fishing Charters are great for kids, so get ‘em offline and onto the water! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks for a boost of energy when needed!
Capt. Jerry operates the Originator 2, a 26’ JC Pontoon boat that can carry up to 6 passengers. It has all the essentials. What’s more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

We had a an amazing time with captain Jerry! Even though the fishing was slow, he made sure we were still having fun and comfortable. Jerry kept conversation going, we were laughing, and we had such a good time on the water. We would definitely recommend this charter to anyone, and would definitely book it again.

Captain Jerry Link is a great person to fish with on the lake or the river. Steelhead fishing is great! I have fished with Jerry and regardless of whether a client is new to fishing or already into fishing, Jerry will provide a great time on the water with clients to do his best at catching fish.

The fish were not biting real well today. Very few were caught by other charters as well. However, Captain Jerry worked extremely hard to try and get us on fish. He maintains his equipment well, teaches as he goes and will go the extra mile to make the trip worthwhile.
