Trophy Small Mouth Buffalo and Carp Fishing 

Lake Bastrop is home to a huge number of Common Carp and a healthy population of trophy-sized Smallmouth Buffalo that can reach well over 50 pounds.

I’m local to the Bastrop area and keep half a dozen areas on Lake Bastrop chummed for carp and giant Smallmouth Buffalo year-round.

Up to 3 people can come on this trip. We can take it as seriously as you want or keep it lighthearted and fun with family and kids.

Children over 5 years old are welcome. Kids will have a great time as Carp fishing is a great way to get kids on the water and interested in the outdoors.

I will provide all things fishing, I'm using high-end Shimano reels and dedicated carp angling methods.

I ask clients to bring food, water, and sun protection.

I have been a fishing guide for the last 13 years, specializing in catch-and-release Carp and Alligator Gar fishing.

Your safety and enjoyment will be top priority while catching as many and the biggest fish as possible.

I run this same trip on the Lower Colorado River year-round within an hour of Bastrop for monster Smallmouth Buffalo, if you would rather fish the river over the lake, just let me know. The river trips have put out over 800 pounds of carp landed in a single day before.
