Waterman Outdoor Adventures
Make some memories on Sam Rayburn Reservoir and go fishing with Waterman Outdoor Adventures. Captain Kevin will be your guide, which allows you to benefit from years of local experience. We will leave out from several local boat ramps including Cassels Boykin, Kingtown, McAllister, Etoile, and Townsend- let us know what works best for you.
Largemouth Bass, Catfish, Crappie, Sand Bass, and more can be found in these waters, depending on when you go. On these trips, it’s common to bottom fish using light tackle.
Waterman Outdoor Adventures welcomes kids aboard, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites!
Your fishing machine for the day is a 24’ Blue Wave bay boat that holds up to 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. Rods, reels, and tackle are included, along with lures. Live bait is available. Fishing jugs makes for a fun trip (especially for kids!) and greater chances of a huge catfish haul.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is available online through TPWD or at many local retailers.
It’s recommended to bring sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks for you on board. Layer up during the fall and spring, the boat ride can be cold even on sunny days. waterproof footwear is also recommended in colder months.

Half Day Evening
Great time out on the lake!
Captain Kevin was super accommodating given less than optimal weather, water and overall fishing conditions. He was honest and up front but still made sure that we left with some fish. On top of that, he made the trip fun and enjoyable for all. It was our 11 year old special needs son’s first time on a boat and he got to catch his first fish- the boy was cracking us up all afternoon at how much fun he was having. Felt like we’d known Kevin for years. We’ll definitely go out with him again!

Kevin was a BLAST!!!
We had an awesome time fishing with Kevin! We caught lots of bass, shared some laughs, and learned a ton. With over 30 years of experience, his knowledge of Sam Rayburn is unmatched. What we appreciated most was his laid-back approach, no pressure at all. He really lets you decide how you want to spend your time out there, whether it’s chasing big fish or just enjoying the lake. Highly recommend Kevin if you’re looking for a fun, relaxed, and successful fishing trip!

Great Time!
Kevin was so great! No one on the water was catching fish but he sure worked hard to get us some. He spent extra time since he didn’t have anyone after us. Like he really spent a lot of extra time. He worked so hard and he was great at helping us . He was fun and I would highly recommend him. We will be using him again for sure. Thanks Kevin for a wonderful day!

March fishing trip
We had a great time fishing! That morning was freezing, but we sucked it up! We didn’t see any bass but we did catch 14 or 15 catfish with the jug lines. The captain was very friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us suggestions on where to go on our own while there. If we’re ever back in east Texas we will definitely reach out again.
