Anglers of every level of experience are welcome, and we've built our boat to be wheelchair-accessible. We've also got adaptive fishing gear on board, so that every member of your party can participate.
Captain Jack is more than just your professional fishing charter guide, with 13 years of experience: he's also a year-round resident who can't wait to show you the best that Ketchikan has to offer!
We'll troll for Salmon or jig for Lingcod, Rockfish, Pacific Cod, and Sablefish.
Our boat is a 37' landing craft, and 12' wide, giving plenty of space to take in the scenery or reel in a big one.
We've got bottled water and snacks on board, plus binoculars for taking closer looks at the wildlife…we often see whales, bald eagles, harbor seals, sea lions, and orcas. Sometimes even deer and bear on the shoreline!
We have a toilet on board, should the need arise.
Fishing licenses must be purchased from the Alaska State Department of Fish & Game for all anglers 16 and older. (Anglers under 16 get theirs for free, plus an automatic King Salmon stamp—bring your kids!) We'll communicate information about the license about two weeks before your charter, or as soon as we hear from you with any questions.
We will pick you up at your ship, or near to it, whether you moor in downtown Ketchikan or in Ward Cove.
Dress in layers and get ready for a great day—we love showing our hometown off to visitors!

I booked a charter with Captain Jack after a search on the internet and Fishing Booker. All information gathered directed me to Captain Jack and his new boat, The 4 Finns. Captain Jack was friendly and extreemly informative about his community, the area in general and most importantly...the fishing. He got us on fish right away and as fishing goes, the fish were not cooperating much the rest of the day. Regardless, it was a great day on the water with a great new boat and an awesome Captain. Do not hesitate to book your charter with Captain Jack! In addition, he has the ONLY wheelchair accessable charter fishing boat in Ketchekan. He also charters wildlife cruises!
Thanks, Mark! Fishing with you and Dennis felt like having visiting friends on the boat. And while the kings we caught might have been a little short, thanks for landing the first silver salmon of my season! It was a beautiful Coho on a beautiful day. I’d be happy to see you guys back anytime.
