Around here it’s common to catch Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, Skipjack Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Shortbill Spearfish, Sailfish, Great Barracuda, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Tripletail, and more with your luck. For these species, you’re likely to troll using light or heavy tackle.

Capt. Owen is happy to have kids aboard, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!

Your boat for the day is a classic Bertram 46’ Convertible that can carry up to 12 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 15–20% tip is customary.

"Nasty" is equipped with its own fishing license so no license needed. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

It’s recommended to bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks available on board.
