Ready to go fishing along the Bolivar Peninsula? Then Salty Cat Guide Service has a trip with your name on it! With Captain Christopher at the helm, you'll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.

These waters are known for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Black Drum, Flounder, and more – with any luck, you'll find out for yourself! On these trips, it's common to fish the shallow waters of the marsh using light tackle.

Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Also remember to bring snacks!

Your vessel for the day is a 18' Gulf Coast Classic with space for 3 passengers. It has all the essentials. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is included if we are able to catch it. There is a bait-shop located near the launch where you can purchase additional live or dead bait if you would like to try your luck with something different.

Before coming aboard, you will need to have a valid Texas fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

Some essentials to bring are sunblock, hat and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks for you on board and we can take a break back at camp and enjoy a nice BBQ lunch.

And that's it! Your fishing trip with Salty Cat Guide Service is just a click away.

Quickly on the fish
8 Hour Trip – East Galveston Bay on August 17, 20251 adult1 child

Captain Chris knows his waters. You won’t spend half the day riding on the boat looking for fish. We were right on top of them and stayed on them all day. He was helpful and patient with my 12 yr old son for his first saltwater fishing trip. I can’t recommend him enough.
