Cozy Waters "We Cook Your Catch"
There's a fish with your name on it in Nassau and Cozy Waters will help you catch it! Your guide for the day is Captain George, so you'll benefit from years of local experience.
Amberjack, Yellowtail Snapper, Red Grouper, Scup (Porgy), Blackfin Tuna, Bluefin Tuna, and more inhabit these waters, depending on the season. For these species, you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light tackle.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!
You'll be casting lines from a 24' Tidewater center console with capacity for 8 passengers. It has all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. George has rods and reels for you, along with lures.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
It's always wise to bring sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks available on board.

An Unforgettable Day on the water

WOW! What a day! From the very first message, the communication with Captain George was fantastic, clear,kind, and very responsive. When we arrived, both Captain George and his son, Captain DeVaughn, welcomed us with open arms. They said, “Once you’re on our boat, you’re family”—and they truly lived up to those words! We had such an incredible time out on the water. We caught lots of strawberry grouper and grunt fish. Including a shark! The excitement was next level. Then, to make it even more special, they cooked up some of the fresh fish right on the boat. It was absolutely delicious. Our family really had a blast! We will always remember Captain George and DeVaughn and this amazing fishing trip. If you’re looking for a unique and marvelous experience definitely highly recommend Cozy waters! We were Wowed, and when we come back we would love to go out with them again.

Amazing Experience! Caught TONS of fish!

Highly recommend Cozy Waters! We had a wonderful afternoon out with George and his family. His adult son was so helpful and also a great captain! He helped out our 8 year old son, and truly made his day awesome. We caught so many fish we lost count. More than we could’ve ever anticipated. Lots of different variety of grouper, grunt and other random reef fish. But the highlight for all of us was catching sharks, in which we reeled in 3 sharks! They stayed in the ocean of course, but super cool experience. Regina even cooked some of our catches on the boat for us to try, which is not something other charters do! When you’re staying in a resort and unable to cook yourselves, this was perfect. Nothing more fresh than a fish you just pulled out of the ocean. Definitely choose Cozy Waters!

What a trip!!

What a great trip from the get go! The crew changed their time of departure for us since we were coming off of a cruise. The fun started as soon as we got on the boat. The crew gave us a little background of the area and asked what we wanted to catch. The crew went above and beyond to get us on fish from the first stop. Within the first hour we had 15+ fish on the boat. As we were starting to pick up to move spots, the crew let us reel in a Bull Shark. The second coolest experience. We still had about an hour and half left so we asked if we could go snorkeling. They took us to one of the reefs, set up all the snorkeling equipment for us then told us to jump. This was by far not something they had to do for us but it was amazing! As we snorkeled around the reef, George cooked the fish we caught on the boat. This was by far the best fish we have ever had... 2 people in our group dont usually eat fish and both loved it. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better meal, snorkeling, and fishing experience. So good we have already told everyone to book with them and plan on coming back next year!

My wife, two kids (13 year old son 17 year old daughter), and I did the fish and lunch trip and it was one of the best charter trips I’ve been on. George and DeVonte were great! They were both so friendly and easy to work with. They customize the trip to each guests preference and you can truly tell they love their work. Whether you’re a skilled angler or a beginner, you’ll have a great time. We caught a lot of fish and a lot of different varieties. You can’t beat catching your fish and then eating it fresh right off the boat. George can cook up a mean fish dish! All that said, the fishing was great but it was the experience and the relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere that makes it so great. My daughter and wife don’t fish but they hade a great time and want to do it again the next time we’re in the Bahamas. 1000% this should be your go to charter in the Bahamas.
