Hoping to cast a line in Kailua-Kona? Look no further than Aloha Kai!
You're likely to go after Mahi Mahi, Yellowfin Tuna, Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, and more if conditions allow. You'll target your catch by light or heavy tackle fishing, trolling, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Also remember to bring snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
You'll be casting lines from a 35' Phoenix sportfishing boat with space for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, a fighting chair, all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. It's customary to tip the Mate 15–20% to show your appreciation.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Don't leave home without sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Your trip with Aloha Kai is just a click away, so why not make it happen?
