What an experience with Captain John and crew. Good trip, few pinkies and gummy caught. Wish the trip was longer. Definitely booking him for our next trip
Go out with Kraken and get some Tuna it was great to feel the power of the fish.
I'm a third-generation fisherman and my passion for fishing began at the age of 6. I would spend my school holidays at my grandfather's fishing Westernport Bay. At the age of 14 I began my life commercial fishing out from Port Welshpool where I was able to do many different types of commercial fishing. I fished for crayfish, king crab, scallops, shark both net and longline, wrasse fishing both hand line and trap I even done some commercial barramundi net fishing up in Karumba. I spent years as a deckhand working these industries before moving away to the city for a break from it all. It wasn't long and I was a deckhand again. This time for a ferry company in Westernport Bay. Inter-island ferries, where I spent 3 and a half years doing. I then moved inland and worked in factories, but the pull of the ocean always drew me back to it. This time making a last move to Portland where I have had the opportunity to purchase a 10.5m Catamaran and start a fishing charter business of my own. There is nothing better than waking up and going to work where you are passionate about.
