Your adventure takes place on a 34’ Venture that accommodates up to 6 guests. She’s powered by twin 200 HP Suzuki engines which provide a fast and steady ride to your fishing spot. The boat also features modern navigational electronics, safety equipment, a live bait tank, and outriggers.

With versatile fishing grounds, there are lots of different fish species to go after. From all kinds of Snappers, Sharks, and Groupers to Tarpon and Spanish Mackerel. Reach the offshore spots and go after Mahi Mahi and Barracuda. If you have a specific species you want to target, it’s best to get in touch with the captain, so he can arrange a trip that will maximize your chances.

Even though there’s a catch limit, it’s more than enough to have an amazing feast after the trip. Your captain will clean your catch free of charge, so you can throw it on the grill as soon as you leave the marina. All rods, reels, lures, and bait are fully included in the price.

The captain also has bottled water on the boat, but feel free to bring other snacks and drinks. Bringing sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses is always recommended. Join Captain Jay Charters and see the Florida Keys from a different perspective.

Please be aware that an additional charge for fuel will be made for offshore trips.

Captain Randy for the win!

Clean, comfortable boat. Plenty of shade available. Having a bathroom on the boat was a big plus. They had an ice cooler for us to use for our drinks and a dry storage cabinet for our belongings. I never had to touch the bait because Captain Randy kept hooking us up! Every time a line went in, you could feel the fish jerking on the line within seconds . It was unbelievable. All 6 of us were new to fishing and we had an incredibly successful day. We caught red grouper. pin fish, catfish, mutton snapper, mangrove snapper, puffer fish, eel, and a beautiful cobia. Captain Randy went above and beyond to make this trip a forever memory for our family. Thank you!

We went out with Captain Randy and he was awesome. I have a 9 year old son and Randy was not only patient and kind with him but, he really wanted to help teach him some fishing techniques. I would highly recommend fishing with him if you have kids.

Captain Randy was great! Very knowledgeable and professional. It was evident that he loves what he does. He was very patient with the kids and offered up good pointers We did not catch as many fish as we had hoped but Captain Randy oil is to the right spots- the fish were just not on the mood this morning Would highly recommend booking with Captain Randy! Next time we will book 6 hr off shore

Nothing like Midwest hospitality in the keys. 2 of us from WI, 2 from MN and Randy originally from MI. We had a blast…caught fish all day long and brought home many meals. The boat was more than large enough, with a bathroom. Clean and Randy was a great captain. If you are looking to charter a fishing boat in Marathon this is the place.
