Looking to catch some fish in Saranac Lake? That's what Todd's Guide Service is here for! Your guide for the day is Captain Todd, offering years of local experience.

Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Yellow Perch, and more can be found in these waters if you cast your line at the right time of year. Todd's Guide Service prefers catch and release, however fish may be kept in accordance with NYS regulations. Fish cleaning is not provided.

On the day of your trip you're likely to cast or troll depending on the target species and the time of year.

You'll step aboard a 18' Lund aluminum fishing boat that holds up to 4 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. The boat is equipped with Lowrance electronics including traditional sonar, down scan, side scan and forward facing sonar.

Rods and reels are provided, but feel free to bring your own if that's what you prefer.

Before coming aboard, all guests 16 years or older must have a New York State fishing license. The Captain cannot sell you a fishing license, please get one from any tackle shop.

Don't leave home without a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, sunscreen (non-spray), and a camera. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Todd is a friendly and knowledgable guide who put us on the fish and shared history and personal stories about Saranac Lake. He connected immediately with my boys as they talked about various fishing strategies and was equally as engaging with me and my wife as we chatted about a variety of subjects while the boys fished. He was on a mission to catch fish and didn’t disappoint. Todd will be our first call when we visit the area again!

Amazing guide

Was worth the price of the trip just to be out on the water with such a knowledgeable person who treated you more like a friend than a stranger, Todd is kind, polite and very respectful! The bonus was catching fish all day just about!!! Can not explain how much I recommend Captain Todd and can’t wait to be back out on the lake with him soon!

Great trip, great time, great guide

Todd was a great captain and guide. My 10 Year old son and I went for an 8 hour bass and pike trip. We had a great time, caught a few fish, and learned a few new tips and tricks. Todd was easy going and did a great job encouraging my son to continue following his passion for fishing. I’d highly recommend him to others

Great day on the water

Captain Todd gave us an enjoyable day. He was prompt, helpful and very knowledgeable. His boat was well equipped with fish-finding gear, quality rods and tackle. He helped my wife when necessary to handle things like snags and landing fish. I will use him again in the future.

Great experience on the lake with Todd. He is very knowledgeable, very well equipped with boat, tracking technology and an impressive stash of rods, reels and lures. The Northerns and the Smallies don’t stand a chance!
