Make an adventure out of your next trip in Puerto Jiménez and go fishing with Sportfishing Maestro. Your guide for the day is Captain Oscar, which allows you to benefit from years of knowledge and experience.

Bonito, Mahi Mahi, Pompano, Blue Marlin, Roosterfish, Pacific Barracuda, Broomtail Grouper, Striped Marlin, African Pompano Jack, Black Marlin, Sailfish, and more are in the cards, depending on the time of year. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Oscar also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.

Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. You're welcome to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!

You'll step aboard a 32' center console with space for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.

There's no need to buy a fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks included on board.
