Drop Zone Shark Fishing was created by Captain Zach in 2021 to give others the opportunity to catch sharks from the beach. We are located in Destin, Navarre, Santa Rosa Beach and Panama City. We can come behind where you are staying on the beach and run the trip. We offer custom trips in other parts of Florida and the Eastern Coast of the United States. We have all custom reels and make our own rigs and gear. We use drone and professional kayakers to deploy the bait up to 800 yards off the beach. We can fish in up to 50 mph and 7 foot waves so we do not cancel on you. If you are looking for the best shark fishing experience in the Gulf this is it. We are the only group that has ever caught 2 1000+ pound great whites from the beach in Florida in the same day. Fishing for sharks off the beach in our eyes is superior to pulling them beside the boat and leaving the hook in their mouth. From the beach we can get a proper family photo and release. We specialize in bull, tiger and greater hammerhead shark fishing in the warmer months and Dusky and other pelagic sharks during the colder months. We have spent years studying the migrations of every shark species here. We have many what would have been record sharks if killed. This is a new style of fishing only possible with modern gear. It will be hard to beat this trip. With in 5 minutes we were on a 12-13 foot hammerhead. It bit through 800lbs wire line after a long fight. There we got on 9 foot lemon, Salomon the Captain knew the size and type just based on the fight. He was exactly right on the guess. Then we caught a 9 foot male tiger. He guessed 9’2”. Then he guessed or knew we would caught a larger female, he guessed 10’2-6”. Landed a 10’ female tiger next. Dude was spot on or with inches every time. So do they have sharks waiting or someone underwater hooking them up? Maybe or he knows his shark fishing.
There were 12 of us that met Solomon and Lewis on Melbourne Beach on June 4th excited to celebrate our parents 50th anniversary by catching some sharks!! Unfortunately nature had other plans. Sea turtles coming ashore to lay their eggs kinda got in the way. Solomon and Lewis worked their tails off to keep the lines out of their way. As it happens with fishing there are no guarantees. Would absolutely use them again the next time we are in Florida.
