Book your next trip with Saltbound Adventures and find out what the fishing in Bradenton is all about. With Captain Andy at the helm, with 14 years of coast guard experience, you'll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
Fishing around here will often see you targeting Black Drum, Cobia, Red Grouper, Grunt, Hogfish, Jack Crevalle, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Permit, Pompano, Sheepshead, Snook, Mangrove Snapper, and more with any luck. You can expect to do some spinning, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Andy also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!
You'll find yourself aboard a 25' Carolina Skiff 258 DLV center console that holds up to 6 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. Capt. Andy will supply rods and reels for you. Live bait will be provided. If you are looking to fish with artificial lures, feel free to message the Captain.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for some fishing! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
Don't leave home without sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and snacks. Waters are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. So make it happen, with Saltbound Adventures!

Great trip with Saltbound Adventures!!!

Chartered a 4 hour trip for our family with Saltbound Adventures. We had a great experience and would recommend to anyone interested to do some inshore fishing in the Bradenton area. Things I specifically liked: 1) Captain Andy put us on the fish! Caught a variety of species and between 5 anglers on board, everyone caught several fish. 2) Captain was highly knowledgeable about the fish, tackle we were using and the area. 3) we booked last minute due to another captain cancelling our charter - Captain Andy went above and beyond to shift his schedule around to accommodate us on short notice. So glad it worked out to take our trip with Saltbound Adventures! A blessing in disguise! I’ll be back to fish with Saltbound Adventures again!!

Six hour inshore with Captain Andy
6 Hour Trip – Inshore on August 18, 2025
We've fished with several different captains in the Sarasota area, Captain Andy is the best. I leave it up to him whether we do inshore or near shore. Just take us where the fish are. Started with Snapper to get some fish in the cooler. We could see hundreds of fish, but the bite was slow thanks to a momma and baby dolphin that circled the boat. Moved on to redfish and the bite was crazy. Our party of four had multiple triples in a couple hours. We will definitely be back.

Took an AM inshore trip out of Holmes beach. Captain Andy responded quickly to the booking and all messages leading up to the trip. He said most people would cancel with a 40 degree windchill start to the morning! ha ha He was honest about what to expect as the bite was slow at the beginning, but picked up as day went on and temps warmed. He had ample bait and rods set up for us to fish with, and a game plan with multiple options for spots depending on how the bite went. He's a solid guy, and I think his profile was a bit humble, he has a ton of time the water fishing this area and variety of other areas throughout his life. We learned a lot and had a great time. Thanks again, -Derek and Crew from Wisconsin.

took my brother in law and our kids fishing. we have been on multiple fishing charters and this was by far the best one yet. we caught just about every species of fish you can catch. i will definitely book again. the captain know where the fish are biting. we caught fish the whole time and it never slowed down. great overall experience!
