These waters are known for Salmon, Chinook Salmon, Shad, Lingcod, Halibut, Smallmouth Bass, Sturgeon, Coho Salmon, Black Seabass, Albacore Tuna, Striped Bass, and more – with any luck, they'll make your reel scream. On these trips, it's common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Don't forget to bring snacks to stay fueled throughout your trip!
Your day begins aboard a 26' Hewescraft pilothouse with room for 6 passengers. It has downriggers, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Some essentials to bring are sunblock (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Trip actually didnt take very long. Just go grab the pods, take out crab and come home. If you’re looking for more of an action adventure, you should probably stick with fishing. Crabbing is good for little kids and older people or maybe you just really love eating crab.
The crew cleaned our crab for us and offered to boil them for us, for a small fee.

Our family of dive travelled with captain Josh to catch Salmon. Best fishing times are afternoon and morning, but we only had some time for mid day. He went beyond the traditional expectation guiding fishing and crabbing by the end of the day and allowed our family to have some great memories to take home with us.

Great Fishing Experience
8 Hour Trip – Lingcod/Rockfish on July 23, 2025 • 5 adults • 1 child
We fished for Rock Fish and Lingcod. We caught our limit of Rock Fish in a few hours. We had a great time. After we caught our limit on fish he took us to a crab trap and gave us a bucket of crab. Josh was a great guide and very friendly and knowledgeable.
