Looking for a unique fishing adventure with an experienced guide, then look no further, I've got you covered with BackWater Lagoon Kayaking Charters.

My name is Tyler Ashby, and for the last 14 years, I've spent my summers and fall guiding clients on Salmon, Dolly Varden, Rainbow trout and Arctic Char on the remote rivers of Southwest Alaska. When I'm not in Alaska, I spend my winters and spring time in New Smyrna Beach scouting and honing my skills in the grassy flats of Mosquito Lagoon or up North to the creeks and canals of the Tomoka Basin, sighting tailing Reds, or targeting Snook and Tarpon

Trout, Sheepshead, Jack Crevalle, Flounder, Ladyfish, also inhabit these water and are often a Bycatch while fishing for the targeted species mentioned above, as well as certain seasonal fish such as Black Drum.

I'll provide rods, reels, and tackle, along with lures and live bait.  Of course, you’re more than welcome to bring your own gear, but I've got you covered either way.

Regarding a fishing license, at a minimum, you'll need to buy a 1-day fishing license before the trip. You never know when we might be checked by a Florida game warden. If you’re a non-resident visiting from out of state, check out Florida's fish and game website for rules and regulations and how to purchase a license. Also, some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect or let me know what you want to target, and we can see what’s possible.

We'll be using Live bait or artificials to target your desired species.

It's always wise to bring a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water.  You’ll wear a life jacket for safety reasons.  Although alcohol is allowed, it should be in moderation, as well as avoiding hard liquor.

If you're looking for a different kind of adventure, then book a trip with BackWater Lagoon Kayak Charters today.
