Guapo Boat – Fishing in the Caribbean 

10/10 experience! We came out expecting to catch a few fish and have a good time… apparently the captain had other plans because he had us feeling like professional fishermen by the end of the trip. 😂🎣 The captain was awesome—funny, knowledgeable, patient, and knew exactly where to put us on the fish. Great atmosphere from start to finish, and there was never a dull moment. At one point I started wondering if the fish were on his payroll because there’s no way he made it look that easy. 😂 Seriously though, this was one of the highlights of our trip. Whether you’ve been fishing your whole life or don’t know the difference between a fishing pole and a pool noodle, you’re going to have a great time. We’ll 100% book again. Only complaint is now regular fishing is ruined for us. 😂🔥🎣

Captain Hector and Paco were absolutely amazing! They went above and beyond to make sure I was fishing the entire time. I was a solo angler on this trip, but I never felt like it as they made me feel right at home from the moment we pushed off. It was an incredible, non-stop 4 hours on the water, and we landed mahi-mahi, rainbow runner, triggerfish, and tuna! I’ll definitely be back, and I won’t book with anyone else. Highly recommend Hector and his crew!

Fuimos tres, incluido un niño de 11 años. El capitán y su ayudante en todo momento estuvieron al tanto de nuestras necesidades, teniendo en cuenta que era nuestra primera vez en altamar. Capturamos cinco especies, incluyendo Dorado y Atún aleta negra. La embarcación tiene baño a bordo. Al finalizar nos limpiaron la pesca y alimentamos unos Sábalos enormes que tienen como mascotas en la marina. El capitán nos contactó con un restaurante junto a la marina, donde nos prepararon nuestra pesca en ceviche, empanizado y en Tikinxic. Sin dudar recomiendo al capitán y su tripulación!! A pescar!!

We had such an amazing trip with Guapo! The crew was professional, friendly, and made the whole experience so easy and fun from start to finish. They worked hard switching from trolling to bottom fishing and using live bait. Theres no guarantees fishing, but they do their best to set you up for success. We caught a blackfin tuna and a queen triggerfish, and they made fresh ceviche right on the boat, which was such a highlight. It does not get fresher than that. What really stood out was how helpful they were beyond the fishing trip. I accidentally left my phone in an Uber, and the crew kept calling and helping translate so I could get it back. They absolutely did not have to do that, but they went out of their way to help me, and I appreciated it so much. The boat was clean, the crew knew exactly what they were doing, and the whole day felt professional but still relaxed and fun. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend Guapo to anyone fishing in Cancun.

Our recent fishing charter in Cancun with Captain Cesar was incredible from start to finish. The entire crew was professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. They made sure everyone was comfortable, helped throughout the trip, and worked hard to make the experience enjoyable and successful. The highlight of the trip was catching a large blackfin tuna, which made the experience even more exciting. The crew then prepared fresh ceviche right on the boat, and it was absolutely incredible. It doesn’t get much fresher than that! The boat was clean and well-maintained, the equipment was great, and the atmosphere was fun the entire time. You can tell this team truly cares about their guests and takes pride in what they do. Whether you’re experienced or new to fishing, I highly recommend booking with Guapo if you’re in Cancun. Had an amazing trip with Captain Cesar and Alex! Caught my THIRD sailfish in less than a year, on two trips with them. We also caught blackfin tuna and some huge jacks that left my arm sore (in a good way) for days. Captain Cesar is truly a master of his craft and it is an honor to go fishing with him. He is both scientifically focused on catching fish, relaxed, helpful, and a great coach for anglers of any experience level. Alex also did a great job helping me battle some very strong fish - we hooked up double headers twice and then caught a beautiful sailfish in the last 20 minutes of the trip. Captain Cesar and El Guapo Charters are the the only company I will go offshore fishing with in Cancun. He is always ready to make his trademark fresh catch ceviche on the boat, but this time I opted for pure sashimi right from the blackfin tuna. Cannot recommend him highly enough. We have fished together 3-4 times, I have caught "bucket list" fish, had several mounted, learned a lot, and made a friend. Anytime I'm in Cancun, I'm going fishing with Captain Cesar.

captian was awesome - first mate was so good with kids! kept offering help, drinks. And the Captain found the fish! 2 mahi mahi at the same time, black fin, yellow fin too!! captian made us his own recipe of ceviche and it was incredibly delicious !!!! forever ruined on resturant ceviche now. Such a fun 4 hours! helped us get arrnagements made to get my sons large mahi mounted and sent back to us in FL. he even stopped in the clearest bluest most amazong water for the kids and I to jump in and swim off thr boat. Bestest - great day on the water!

I hooked a Mahi but lost it, landed a few nice bonitos, a Rainbow Runner, a Shark and lastbut it least! A Sail Fish! I had a great time, it was pretty slow after catching bait but the crew were determined to find the fish! And they did not disappoint. Shout out to Caesar and Frank for helping me get a bucket list fsh on my 6 hour trip. They also had cod drinks for me and made me some fresh ceviche on the ride back! This was probably the best trip I've booked so far with this app.

We had an amazing fishing trip today aboard the Guapo! Captain Cesar and Alex did an outstanding job from start to finish. They were professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and worked hard to make sure everyone had a great experience. We caught plenty of fish, including mahi-mahi, and had an excellent time on the water. The crew knew exactly where to take us and made the entire trip enjoyable and memorable. I highly recommend booking with them. We will definitely be back!

First off the crew is amazing, they let us decide what species we wanted to target and they are super knowledgeable about what gear to use. We started with landing some beautiful strawberry grouper bottom jigging, then we changed to live bait and hooked up to a beautiful marlin. Fight lasted about 25-30 minutes and they knew exactly where to position the boat. Once we got back to the dock Alex made some beautiful fillets out of the grouper that we had cooked at a nearby restaurant but the real prize was them helping us to secure shiping and the making of our trophy marlin back to the US. Hector made the booking seamless and captian Cesar and Alex made the fishing unforgettable!
