You're likely to fish for Amberjack, Mahi Mahi, Black Grouper, Bonito, Great Barracuda, King Mackerel (Kingfish), White Marlin, Mutton Snapper, Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, Yellowtail Snapper, Blacktip Shark, and more, depending on conditions. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Guapo Boat is a child-friendly charter service, so get 'em offline and onto the water! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are also a good idea to stay fueled throughout your trip!
Your vessel for the day is a 28' Sportfishing with space for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible.
Capt. Héctor Joaquin will provide rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
You might need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don't forget to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Hands down, the best experience we've had in over a decade of fishing. The crew was the most professional and experienced we've ever fished with they operated like clockwork, anticipating every need. Despite rough conditions with high winds and waves, the captain and mate stayed totally competent and kept us safe. Such was their confidence that we even caught live bait on the same day (that's a huge sign they know exactly where and what to target). Had all the gear, food, drinks, seasick meds, and stuff to make fresh ceviche. The fishing was unreal: we hooked 8 barracudas and a snapper in just about 2 hours! Sadly, one passenger got extremely seasick, so we headed back early. Even so, this is honestly the best value fishing trip in the area for the price, highly recommend! Everything very professional and spoke English and Spanish very well.

the crew were super accommodating, going above and beyond to make this an awesome and memorable trip! the sea was rough but they constantly checked in with us to make sure evertone was ok before moving on to another spot. They know the best spots to find the big fish and they did not disappoint!! 10/10 I would recommend this crew if you want a knowledgeable, experienced crew and make the best memories! the ceviche they prepared was amazing too! I've never tasted something so fresh and delicious 😋 these guys know what they're doing! would book this again in a heartbeat!

Amazing fishing trip!!!

We had an unforgettable fishing trip with Capt. Hector and his deckhand Oliver. From start to finish, they were an incredible team professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do.
They knew the waters like the back of their hand and put us right on the fish. We caught a variety of fish including Mahi and a huge amberjack. I mentioned that I had never caught a sailfish before, and Capt. Hector made sure that changed. I was able to land my first sailfish and cross it off my bucket list, an experience I'll never forget.
To top it off, they even made us some fresh ceviche right on the boat. It doesn't get better than that.
Overall, an amazing trip. If you're looking for a top-tier fishing experience, I highly recommend Capt. Hector and his crew. You won't be disappointed.

Ceasar and his mate were awesome. put us on yhe fish all day. caught 25 Barricudas and a nice Wahoo on the way back. Got to take a dip on the way back while Ceasar made fresh ceviche from our Barri, it was delicious. great experience with my two sons. will def use Ceasar and El Guapo again.

Awesome day of fishing !!!
4 Hour Trip on April 12, 2025 • 2 adults
We headed out at 7 AM with captain Caesar in first mate Alfredo we left the dock and proceeded to the fishing grounds after the first stop of catching some bait quickly, we headed to where captain wanted to take us to one of his favorite spots when we got there we were the only boat we started out trolling and after a short period of time, my wife was lucky enough to hook up with something really large. She fought it for about 10 minutes and lost it a short time after she we hooked up again and my wife landed a beautiful grouper we trolled for about another hour without any success. The captain suggested we try some other methods so we did a little bottom fishing we but we went back to trolling in a short period of time after trolling I hooked into a really nice sail fish we took some pictures and release. The fish was my request to the captain. I was grateful that he honored my request of releasing the fish at the same time of me fighting the sailfish. We hooked into another fish and my wife pulled in a nice little Bonito. It was a very awesome day of fishing and I would recommend the captain and crew to anyone that wants to have a great day of fishing. Thanks again, Captain Caesar and Alfredo will be back to see you next year.
