Depending on the season, you might hook into Great Barracuda, Amberjack, Mahi Mahi, Gag Grouper, Bonito, White Marlin, Sailfish, Mutton Snapper, Sierra Mackerel, Blackfin Tuna, Gray Triggerfish, Wahoo, and whatever else takes the bait. You’ll target your catch by light tackle fishing, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

If you’re traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!

You’ll be casting lines from a 23’ Wellcraft offshore sport fishing vessel that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. Hugo has rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.

You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.

You might need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

Some essentials to bring are sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Great time fishing in Cancun

We just went on a trip with Alex and Lucas. They are an amazing team. We went on a four hour afternoon trip and we started getting bites within 10 minutes. My son landed the first mahi mahi and my daughter had an epic fight with a monster mahi mahi. The crew navigated the smaller boat very well and they helped each kid and were very patient. This was my kids first deep sea trip and it was amazing. If you're looking for a great priced trip with superb personnel this is the trip. The restaurant ant the marina cooked our catch and it was unbelievable. Until our next trip I wish you tight lines and smooth oceans my friends. Thank you for the memories and be safe.

Alex (Captain) and Juan are a fantastic crew. They make everything easy and were trying to find Fish the whole morning. They work very hard. We got a Trigger Fish and a Porgy, They clean it for me and it was cook at Krudo Restaurant. Very happy with Alex and Juan. I can not ask for more. The part I really do not like is that Hugo (Captain and person that I have to realize the final payment) was not very clear with the last payment and I had to pay more money that it appears in this web page. Around 50 USD more. Not happy and I was very close to cancel the trip due to this.

Best fishing charter ever

We went on an 8 hour trip with Alex and Jordan. I have done many charters, but this was the best by far. They made the whole day fun and entertaining all while catching mahi mahi and a giant black fin tuna. They were very professional and polite. Their experience showed how a real charter should be. We caught fish all day! They catered to our every need! When we were all done, Jordan made fresh ceviche that was amazing. Not only do I recommend this company, but I will definitely be using them again, and I will be asking for Captain Alex and Jordan. Thank you for the best fishing day ever!!

Great barracuda bite

This time of year there's not a lot to catch, but the Captain and crew knew exactly where to go to catch fish put me on some great barracuda, even a trophy sized. They were very courteous and attentive worked their butts off on the boat. I will definitely book these guys again.
