Planning your fishing trip in Cochranton just got easier, thanks to Kyle Lantz.
Here you won't be far from inshore and backcountry waters, including some spots that only a local can show you.
Around here it's common to go light tackle fishing, which is what you'll be doing on the day of your trip. You may also drift, jig, spin for your catch. Kyle will provide rods and reels, as well as lures.
Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Muskellunge (Musky), Brook Trout, Brown Trout, Northern Pike, and more can be found in these waters if you come at the right time of year.
Any keeper fish caught during the trip are yours to take home. Have a cooler ready in the car! As many as 4 people are welcome on these excursions. You'll make your way to the fishing grounds on foot, so dress accordingly and bring only as much as you can carry.
Expect to get in touch with Kyle before the trip so you know where to meet and how to get there.
Be sure to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group ahead of time. You can find out more online, including exceptions that may apply. Plan to dress in layers and appropriate footwear (if you aren't sure what that means, just ask). It's never a bad idea to bring sunblock, bottled water, and sunglasses, no matter the weather.
This is a kid-friendly experience, so feel free to bring 'em along and pack any extras they need. They should always wear life vests, so find out if Kyle has the right size available or bring your own.
Kyle Lantz is ready to take you out on the water. Time to make it happen!
