Down N Tight Sportfishing
Looking to go fishing in Port Clinton? Look no further than Down N Tight Sportfishing!!!!!
Species like Yellow Perch, Walleye, and more could be biting if conditions are right. Depending on the fish you're after, you may find yourself trolling, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Young ones are welcome, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks to stay fueled throughout your trip!
Capt. Michael welcomes you aboard a 33' Tiara Open with room for 6 passengers. It has downriggers, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
A few items to bring include sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
