Hoping to go fishing in Pensacola? Get Bent Offshore is your ticket! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Jody can tell you all about them.
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Mangrove Snapper, Amberjack, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Gray Triggerfish, Mutton Snapper, Sheepshead, Blacktip Shark, Cobia, Bonito, Red Snapper, Redfish, Spanish Mackerel, and whatever else takes the bait. You can expect to do some light tackle fishing, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. You're welcome to bring snacks!
Your fishing machine for the day is a 32' Albemarle sportfishing vessel with capacity for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. Jody will supply rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
It's recommended to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now, come aboard with Get Bent Offshore and get hooked!
