Depending on the time of year, you might shoot into Flounder, Black Drum, Mullet, Carp, 5 different species of Rays, Sheepshead, Long Nose Gar, Alligator Gar, Bull Shark, Black Tip Shark, and anything else that shows itself under the lights. Capt. Zach can also take you Flounder gigging.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are never a bad idea to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
You'll step aboard a 24' Aluminum Long Beach Custom that holds up to 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. Your captain will provide Bows and Gigs.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

They put us on lots of fish for our kids to shoot and even got some bonus blue crabs. At first I was worried with my youngest(8 year old, 46lbs) being able to pull the bow back, but they had just the right equipment for the job. I would highly recommend this trip and will do it again if I’m ever in the area again.

He reached out before the trip and asked what kind of fish we were after and what we were interested in doing and then he tailored the trip to what we wanted. Zach has top notch equipment and a very roomy, comfortable boat. We were both new to bow fishing and we were given a quick lesson and felt very comfortable right away. Zach made every effort to make the trip a success and gave great advice on bowfishing. Zach has a wealth of knowledge and is not afraid to share it. If we are in Gulf Shores again, we would definitely book with Stickin Phatties again.

4 Hour – Night Saltwater Bowfishing on December 16, 2024Captain Zach is very knowledgeable about how fishing. He has one of the nicest boats I’ve ever been on. Lots of room to move around, deck is no slip so had no issue standing on it when it was wet. He had us on the fish within a hour. I have never been bow fishing before I-went with Captain Zach and I can tell you I’m now hooked. If you wanna have a great time and shoot some fish this is the man to book with.

4 Hour – Night Saltwater Bowfishing on October 10, 2024We booked a 2 day trip. Price was fair. The captain had top of the line gear but since we are experienced bowfisherman we used our own. He put us on fish as soon as we hit the water. It was an absolute blast. Captain Zach was very knowledgeable and helpful when we needed assistance. Highly recommend going on this trip for anyone visiting the coast that wants a once in the lifetime fishing experience

Our teens had an amazing time. Even with cooler temperatures, the captain found areas with a lot of fish and gave the kids a great experience. The kids were so busy having no fun there was no down time to get bored. Highly recommend!!
