Depending on the time of year, you might shoot into Flounder, Black Drum, Mullet, Carp, 5 different species of Rays, Sheepshead, Long Nose Gar, Alligator Gar, Bull Shark, Black Tip Shark, and anything else that shows itself under the lights. Capt. Zach can also take you Flounder gigging.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are never a bad idea to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
You'll step aboard a 24' Aluminum Long Beach Custom that holds up to 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. Your captain will provide Bows and Gigs.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

This trip is one we will never forget! It was our first bowfishing experience and Captain Zach and Devon nailed it! They put us on lots of fish for our kids to shoot and even got some bonus blue crabs. At first I was worried with my youngest(8 year old, 46lbs) being able to pull the bow back, but they had just the right equipment for the job. I would highly recommend this trip and will do it again if I’m ever in the area again.
Our teens had an amazing time. Even with cooler temperatures, the captain found areas with a lot of fish and gave the kids a great experience. The kids were so busy having no fun there was no down time to get bored. Highly recommend!!
Captain Zach was awesome in every way. His communication was great. He reached out before the trip and asked what kind of fish we were after and what we were interested in doing and then he tailored the trip to what we wanted. Zach has top notch equipment and a very roomy, comfortable boat. We were both new to bow fishing and we were given a quick lesson and felt very comfortable right away. Zach made every effort to make the trip a success and gave great advice on bowfishing. Zach has a wealth of knowledge and is not afraid to share it. If we are in Gulf Shores again, we would definitely book with Stickin Phatties again.
Captain Zach was the best!! I booked a saltwater bowfishing trip as an experience for my children and I had an absolute blast as well. His boat, his equipment, and who he is are all top of the line! He’s extremely knowledgeable about the fish and where to go to find them. And, as an added bonus he made sure we were also able to see dolphins while we were out! If you’re looking for a memorable moment with your children do not hesitate to book this trip!

- Catch cleaning & filleting (Fish are cleaned on boat. Fish cleaning service is included in the price.)
- Drinks (Feel free to bring a small cooler for whatever drink and snacks you'd like to bring. Drinks aren't provided.)
- First mate (Customary tip amount is 20%. We always have a deckhand on board. He's there to help with anything you need. The tip is earned, not expected.)
- Fishing license (Every person that steps on our boat is licensed to fish in Alabama and Florida waters. No need to purchase a license.)
